Kathryn C. Casey

Kathryn Casey
Right out of law school I represented abused and neglected children who had been removed from their parents. My experience working with children, their parents and their foster parents taught me how to work with individuals and families facing extreme stress and enormous challenges. Now I work with older adults, people with disabilities of all ages, and their families. My clients are facing tough issues and making difficult choices under stressful circumstances. I enjoy escorting my clients from problem to solution, helping them plan for a future, and giving them peace of mind.

Janna Dutton

Janna Dutton
I went to law school with the intention of becoming a legal aid attorney, and I did just that after graduation.  After ten years in legal services, I was ready to move on and happened to attend a panel on elder law entitled, "Doing Well by Doing Good."  I decided that elder law was a perfect fit - it allows me the opportunity to utilize the public benefits knowledge I gained while working for legal services, and gives me the satisfaction of helping people with difficult family problems.

Melissa Howitt

In college, I imagined that my degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology would eventually lead me to a career in medicine. Once I graduated, I spent several years studying geriatric depression and other mood-related disorders in patients with Alzheimer's and dementia. Through my research, I developed a serious interest in the legal and ethical aspects associated with the conditions and disorders I was studying. My work as an elder law attorney allows me the opportunity to combine my educational and early professional career with the personal, ethical, and legal issues affecting the aging community.
