Guardianship of a Minor
Guardianship of a child under the age of 18 is the legal process for granting the authority to make decisions regarding that child’s care, finances, education, and general upbringing to someone other than that child’s parents. The appointed guardian is granted the legal custody of the minor and/or his property and is accountable to the court for the ongoing care of that child.
